The 2U input/output server consists of a dx340 system-board tray, a dx360 M2 system-board tray, or a dx360 M3 system-board tray with an I/O enclosure installed in a 2U chassis.
The I/O enclosure provides an additional PCIe slot and enables the server to have up to two 3.5-inch simple-swap hard disk drives or up to eight 2.5-inch hot-swap hard disk drives. This example shows one dx340 system-board tray with an I/O enclosure and eight 2.5-inch hot-swap SAS hard disk drives installed in a 2U chassis.
